Precarious logs
These old trees were cut quickly during the brief window when environmental protections were lifted by Judge Hogan on September 10. Lone Rock Timber should not have taken advantage of this loophole to rush in to clearcut. When Hogan was reversed on December 14, the logging should at least have stopped then. But it
took another restraining order to get the illegal logging to stop on January 3rd. Lone Rock Timber (whose owner is on the
Oregon Board of Forestry), claimed they didn't know.....
