2. District Ranger tries to decide....
Here's the District Ranger at another part of unit 67, again trying to decide if this tree should be cut down so a logging road can go through instead. Since this is the top of the mountain, he has proposed a landing to be built here. Logging equipment would "yard", or pull the trees up the hill, with one end dragging over the forest soils. Log trucks would drive to the landing and loaders would pile the logs on. The Lemolo timber sale will log 31 mmbf, or about 6,200 log truck loads of public forests.
